| What photo size is recommended for uploading to the website? |
| We recommend resizing your photos to 600px by 600px to speed upload times, but it is not required since the photos are automatically resized on the server to a max size of 600px by 600px. If we left the photos their original size, the pages would load very slow and visitors would get discouraged and leave. |
| What image formats are supported? |
| Currently only the two most widely used formats are suppored in the photo gallery: JPG(JPEG) and GIF. |
| What are Galleries? |
| Galleries are categories or groupings for displaying your photos; examples might be Holidays, Animals, Meetings, etc. Visitors to the photo gallery will have a drop down selection box to choose which gallery they want to view. If only one gallery is setup, there will be no gallery options displayed for the visitors. |
| How can I combine galleries? |
| To combine 2 galleries, make the Sort Order and Gallery Name the same as the one you want to combine with and click the "Update Gallery" button. |
| How are my pictures/galleries sorting? |
| The default picture sort is last in first displayed; meaning the last one you upload will appear first in the displayed order. This also holds true to the order of the galleries if you have multiple galleries. To override this sort, you can enter a number value for each picture and/or gallery to sort them the way you want them to be displayed. When entering a sort order number, keep in mind that the lowest number will appear first and if any pictures/galleries have the same sort value, the order will again be determined by how they were uploaded to the site. |
